With Spring Comes Music

You should be aware by now that Winky Boo sponsors bands.  There are 3 fantastic bands full of amazingly creative and talented people that we sponsor; 2 being from the US and 1 hailing from Italy!  I’ve been meaning to do a blog like this for a while but better late than never, right? Let me introduce you to our sponsored bands!

Those Italian boys sure are handsome and sweet, but did you know they can really sing too?  Fallen Asleep  is a group of 4 friends with the same passion for music from Olgiate Molgora, Italy – northeast of Milan.  The band consists of Gabriele Cristelli (vocals/guitar), Stefano Sironi (vocals/guitar), Roberto Bibbel Besana (vocals/bass) and Marcello Valagussa (drums).

They’ve already released their first EP and have been working on their album with producer, Salvatore Addeo to combine their heavy metal, hard rock and melodic musical influences.  You can keep up with these guys at FB  and Twitter !

Now let me introduce our two bands from the states, coincidentally both coming out of the Delaware area.  First off here’s Devolver.  5 guys from the Newark, Delaware area combining “catchy vocal harmonies found in today’s pop music with the gritty guitar breakdowns and solos of today’s heavier artists”.  The band has been on the road the past few months with exposure to national stages, even performing in Austin, Texas at the South by Southwest Music Festival which gave the band direct major record label exposure which lead to 6 showcase shows with industry professionals.  You may have heard Devolver on local radio stations especially 93.5 The Beach where their single won “Most Requested Local Song” in 2011.

The band consists of Ryan Langshaw (Vocals), Evan Langshaw (Guitar), Doug Young (Bass), Brandon Fridley (Guitar) and Benjhe Benton (Drums).  Their high energy rock performances are not something you want to miss!  You can keep up with the guys from Devolver on FB and Twitter and their band’s website.

Last but most certainly not least is sponsored band 13:1 !  This 5 piece power-house from Smyrna, Delaware is taking the nation by storm with their “unique” sound of heavy, raw tones.  They’ve been headlining shows since appearing on the scene in 2009 and even appeared at the 2012 South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas.  Their self-titled album 13:1 was released in 2011 and was selling out in all local Best Buy’s.

13:1 consists of Jay Mills (Guitar), Johnny W. (Guitar), Pete Martinez (Vocals), Morgan Shulenberger (Bass) and Mike Kline (Drums).  If you like a bit of grit and rock n’ roll then be sure to see them live!  You can keep up with the 13:1 guys on FB  and their band’s website.
